  • The Lost Art

Born in New Orleans and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Sydney Justin comes from a very talented and athletic family. Sports and music play a major role in his life. Participating in high school talent shows, the performing arts and attending the Otis Art Institute for gifted young artists molded his musical talents. Football and music are his passions. Although Sydney never played high school football, his natural athletic gifts brought him a football scholarship to Long Beach State University. He was blessed to sign with the Los Angeles Rams and in his rookie year played in Super Bowl XIV. Afterwards, Sydney went on to sign in The C.F.L with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, next The Buffalo Bills, and finally the Indianapolis Colts. Unfortunately, a neck injury ended his career after only 5 seasons. His dreams and aspirations of becoming a singer, songwriter, producer and Author were in his future.

While in high school, Sydney’s musical talents led to his performing on a movie sound track, singing the songs “Shout” and “Shama Lama Ding Dong” that the characters “Otis Day and the Nights” lip-synced in the toga party and night club scenes of the now famous classic cult movie “Animal House”.

After football, Sydney re-directed his musical talents to songwriting, singing and producing. Highlights include being part of the songwriting team Sylverspoon productions working with such artists as Glen Jones, Shalamar, The Whispers and Lakeside; Later Sydney joined the pop group Shalamar as their lead singer. Working with record producers L.A. Reid & Babyface on the song such as “Loves Grown Deep” from Shalamar’s Circumstantial Evidence CD, this song became Asia’s number 1 hit for over 5 months straight. Many Songwriting and producing opportunities followed. He wrote songs and produced soundtracks for such movies as Lambada and sang on Bobby Brown’s hits “Every Little Step I Take” and “I wanna Rock wit Cha baby” achieving a Platinum record. Sydney also performed in concert with other artists such as The Gap Band, Roger & Zapp, Alexander O’Neil, Rose Royce, and Earth, Wind and Fire and many, many others.

Today as the lead singer for Motown’s legendary group The Miracles, Berry Gordy has passed the torch from Smokey Robinson to Sydney Justin. He takes the sound and songs to new heights with his mesmerizing sexiness, excitement and energy.

He is a consummate performer, always striving to offer the world his absolute best. Sydney Justin, was at one time voted one of America’s sexiest men alive. He enjoys coaching young defensive backs, it is his passion. He recently wrote a how to book on playing the defensive back position called “The Lost Art. This book WILL change the lives of many athletes.

As a Christian, Sydney loves God, trusts God and believes all things are possible through faith in Jesus Christ…and Miracles do happen.

  • THE LOVE OF THE HEART: A Collection of Poems of Encouragement

This book contains poems written during late 2015 through mid-2016. Like my previous five books, the title includes the word “heart”. I chose this word because it serves our minds as a filtering device which is capable of purifying our thoughts. With our gift of free choice we can learn to employ our heart to cleanse and focus our thoughts constructively while adding a large dose of love and mutual respect.

From a spiritual viewpoint the mind desires to be plugged in so it can be connected to the indwelling spirit. When we enter into the spiritual kingdom God brings us to himself where we can love and where we can put our life in something that will last.

The poems in this book can be read in any order the reader chooses. Each poem is a stand-alone glimpse through a moment in time as I have observed it. My hope is that each of us can learn to love one another, as God has loved us.

    With love and hope,

    James P. Robson

  • The Making of A Llama Family

THE MAKING OF A LLAMA FAMILY chronicles a couple’s 26-year odyssey with their Llamas, first at their farm in North Carolina and later at their ranch in southwestern Virginia. The story begins in 1976, when the author and her husband met in Fairfax, Virginia, and it traces their adventures from Fairfax to Florida, to the Carolinas and back to their present-day farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The journey relates incidents from the early years of the couple’s marriage, and then evolves into the long partnership with their Llama herd, starting in 1990. The author recounts the tale of moving to their current Virginia property in 1996 and creating a Llama ranch from a blank canvas.

The couple lived for several weeks in their van while their barn was being built and then, while their house was being constructed, they lived with their Llamas in the barn. Key to the story is how the couple interacted with the Llamas while sharing the barn with them, and how both humans and animals remain today as one family unit. The author details her years of observing Llamas as a family, and provides essential information for their care and happiness.

  • The Making of a Man of Faith

This book contains a study of the life of Abraham, whom the New Testament declares to be the father of faith. New Testament believers are also said to have the faith of Abraham. However, when scripture first introduces us to Abraham, he is not a man of great man faith. A careful study reveals how God worked in his life to make him into the great man of faith he became. This is very relevant as God works in every person’s life in much the same way; we just need to recognize it. Even though every person’s life is different, God’s proven methods work the same.

Dale Heil, the author of this book, has spent over thirty years diligently studying God’s Word. He spent several years in prison where he came to know the Lord, and developed a great love for God’s Word. His ministry started by teaching bible studies to other inmates, and has flourished from there. He eventually felt led by God’s Spirit to write down all that God has been teaching him over the years. This book is one of several that he has written as a result.
