Krista’s Summer Adventures
By Eva Zidek
Krista is about to finish grade three and looking forward to the holiday at her grandparents’ place, when her parents tell her that this year she will be going on her own. Krista will miss their parents, but she is happy to be spending her holiday with grandma and grandpa. She always has a lot of fun at her grandparent’s place, unlike her everyday life during the school year.
Every time Krista visits her grandparents, grandpa prepares different games and activities for her to do. This time, he invites her to try a game he played in his youth. The idea is to win a series of badges, each one being a reward for achieving different skills and disciplines.
Krista is excited and begins the game, called a “beaver hunt”. For the first badges, Krista has to develop her physical strength and agility by running, jumping and swimming. It is not always easy, and she finds, she had to work hard to get the badges, but she enjoys it and wins three badges in first couple weeks. The “hunts” for the next badges are even more exciting. She would get one for bravery, another for her ability to spend a day alone in the outdoors, and so on.
Krista’s grandparents have prepared a further adventure for her. They will all go together for a week-long hiking trip through the foothills and mountains and they will have a horse to carry their stuff. Krista, who never slept in a tent, has to prepare herself for the trip. She is thrilled with the plans for her holidays!
The hiking trip is beautiful and for Krista, her “hunt” for the badges makes it unforgettable. Before her holiday ends, she obtains still more badges after some remarkable hunts. Just before her departure, the seniors organize a big party with games, songs, and dancing. All kids as well as adults have lots of fun and happy memories to recall throughout the year.
Krista is sad to leave her grandparent’s place, but they help her to make plans for more activities through the school year. Krista’s parents agree to support her plans, and best of all, come to realize how much their help means to Krista.

LAW of WAR of LAND for the REPUBLIC of VIETNAM
By Bright Quang
About the Book
Law of War of Land of Bright Quang, he struggles for justice as a prisoner of war. Just because the unjust laws are to be the self-evident-truths of the constitutional rights, the use of the greatest power deprives the rights to life of the innocent humankind without having regrets. Significantly, the insensitivity of the powerful nations does not only rob other sacred foreign nations but also lack of ethical consciences has trampled down the weakest people in order to satisfy their aggressions. Despite this, these powerful nations have not respectfully expressed religions, but they’ve used figures of religion’s powerful expression of their sublime’s powers.
His struggle takes wisdom to conquer the delusive laws whilst a modern civilization expresses a play on trick in the laws. Obviously, all of the laws of a great power America have been enacted for the Vietnam War which is why a great power has not enforced any laws. When great power America did not only abuse the laws in order to bully a weak nation but also trampled down the sovereignty and self-determination of a small country as the Republic of Vietnam. In this event, the laws are expressed belligerent by inhumanity without having been enforced for justice-cause. So the respectfulness of the laws is lost by the chicanery.
The super values of the law are clarified by the justice-cause if law has not been enforced thoroughly, we would call the delusive laws of the greatest power. Therefore, we the people should fight for justice as a nation because law is logic symbolized by the rule of law without having dictatorship. Furthermore, the law is expressed by the honor, dignity, and constitution of the people’s race and the nation- as a result, law is law. Finally, when a great power has enacted unjust law to become the constitutional rights, the Great Power America can not represent for modern civilized and progressive society. Of course, a great power and modern civilization does not only esteem law but also loves human beings in all without having to be discriminated against for human rights and deprived of the rights to life of mankind.About the Author

Leadership – By The Book
Here is a book that has something to say to all of us. The abundant quotations in this book go off like fireworks. Any number of them could change your life whether you serve in ministry, business, education or parenting.
One pastor of a large church said that he carried a copy of the author’s original booklet, “Mistakes Leaders Make,” in both his briefcases so that no matter where he was he could reference the material.
The popular format of that booklet is retained in this greatly expanded edition. The two major parts, “What Leadership Is …” and “What Leadership Does Not …” are made up of stand-alone “do’s” and “don’ts.” Read as much or as little as you have time for. Then, pick up where you left off. The author’s 23 watercolor and pen and ink sketches of leaders from various professions add life, vibrancy and personality to this work.
Missionary Mark Sigstad wrote to say that a Nigerian pastor who had left his church got back into the ministry as a church planter largely because of the original booklet. We can only pray that this volume is of similar benefit.
General George Patton who was one of Dwight Eisenhower’s instructors at Fort Leavenworth in 1926 predicted that he would one day work for Eisenhower! This book tells you why that prediction came to pass.
The Governor who had time for blind children later won the American Presidency by more Electoral College votes than any other man in history. This book tells the story.
Warren W. Wiersbe, prolific author, broadcaster and pastor said, “This is an excellent book … I am reading it, learning from it and enjoying it. It is a refreshing change from much of what’s out there on leadership today.”
