The Federal Turnaround Model: Is There A Difference When The Principal Of A School Is Changed?
This study compiled original principal data versus turnaround principal data for three Louisiana Recovery school systems over three academic years (2006–2007, 2008– 2009, and 2010–2011). Academic achievement data was also compiled and analyzed for the same school systems over three academic years (2007, 2008–2009, and 2010 -2011). Data for the LHSGT focused on the four core content areas (Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and English), whereas the LHSWT focused on assessing students’ abilities to demonstrate competency in persuasive writing. Although the District B School System had the lowest percentage of principals with advanced degrees, students in District B schools consistently performed better academically than students in the District A schools. Data was presented in time series charts to reflect changes in the passing rates.
Statistical analysis was used to show the relationship that may exist between the original principal test scores and turnaround principal test scores measuring students’ achievement on the math, social studies, science, and English/Language Arts Louisiana High School Graduation Test.

This iconic form is glorified with scenes in movies, but their everyday existence is to hang there as lonely as the wealthy industrialist’s that initially omitted them. They speak of being our savior in an impending doom, and do so in shadows of light and mirrored reflections seen in complex overlapping Cartesian coordinates.
This book shows the beauty of a dying and unique American architecture. The images highlight the fire escape as eerily frozen in time, like they are from a cold war East Berlin, waiting for their removal by a follow on urban renewal that may never come. Their increasing protection due to evolving civic affection for their role in our lives gives them cultural importance. And yet very few architectural forms exhibit this much soliloquy of repetition and rhythm that is so involved with the hieratic form of a life safety function. Function followed form here as expected, but they are ironic and speak of the human condition waiting for us to go down to our eventual end. They hang there like a hovering death eater or a cemetery we pass on the way to work reminding us of the frailty of human life and the inevitable last journey to a final destination that we all must face.

Kenneth L. Funderburk graduated from Samford University, attended graduate school at Mississippi State and received his juris doctor degree from the University of Alabama. He has practiced law for over fifty years and is active in the art and music community. He is the senior partner in a law firm and has served as a County Attorney for many years. He has a wide business background including as a real estate developer, is on the board of several small businesses and was the founder and chairman of the board of a savings and loan. He is a member of the 10th Street Art Gallery, Columbus, Georgia and has won multiple blue ribbons in juried competition in the acrylic medium. About the author:
McClinton Elliott Porter was ordained into the gospel ministry in August 1998. Subsequent, to his ordination, he served as an associate pastor at Maranatha Church in Chicago, Illinois until 2015. Shortly thereafter, McClinton launched and became senior pastor of Revival Outreach Ministries International.
Since receiving Christ in February of 1992, McClinton has had a heart for the lost and disenfranchised. Throughout the years he has consistently engaged in ministry to the homeless and incarcerated, having regularly ministered the gospel to inmates at the Cook County Jail in Chicago from 1994 through 2013. Additionally, McClinton served as Assistant Executive Director of a community-based nonprofit organization that provided housing, educational, life skills, mental health, and recreational services to Chicago’s at-risk inner-city youth.
McClinton holds a Diploma in Theological Studies from Oral Roberts University Midwest School of Theology and Ministry in Tinley Park, IL, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois, and a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit Management from Spertus Institute, also in Chicago, Illinois.
In addition to his role as senior pastor, McClinton is focused on providing practical, instructional material to the Body of Christ to help facilitate spiritual growth and development.
