Uncloseted Love

THIS IS A fictional story of a woman turning seventy, who decided to step outside of the box. Rebecca took a trip to Europe to celebrate her big birthday and have an adventure. Within twenty-four hours, her life changed forever. Her first thoughts were, “OMG, I should have worn Depends” when she saw the most gothic looking man walk pass her. The sins of our fathers sometimes play a big part in how our lives take shape.
Mikael’s past provides the adventure Rebecca set out to have while touring Europe. Be careful what you wish for. This story encompasses love, sex, murder and suspense. He was ten years younger than she and that only enhanced their growing relationship. Life’s twists and turns will leave you breathless, the ending will leave you stunned.
“Teri Cobb has written a fascinating page-turner, replete with heavy doses of love, sex and suspense, not necessarily in that order. Whether you’re closeted with her main character Rebecca in her hometown in Middle America or exploring nightlife in London, Rome, and Paris, you don’t want to miss a second of this unpredictable yet thrilling journey. Fasten your seatbelt and hold on for an exciting and thoroughly satisfying ride.”

Prayers in Hell

King Midas – the legend says – transformed everything he touched into gold. Theodor Damian transforms everything he touches into poetry.

Sequences from street life, landscapes, people’s gestures, usually looked upon as banalities, disclose, under his eye, their beauty. Other contemporary authors make poetry out of poetry. Theodor Damian makes poetry out of daily reality.

The blase man of the twenty first century has a lot to learn from this book. Reading it one can rediscover the joy of life. It is a resurrection exercise.

Alex Stefanescu

This is an exceptional book, a synthesis of the poet’s lyric and philosophical vision on how the impossible looses its limits when it is immersed in prayer. In Damian’s poetry the “I” of the lyrical and the “I” of metaphysical reflection complement each other in total harmony and become definitory for the poet’s work when they meet in the profound dimensions of Christian spirituality.

Prayers in Hell represents an editorial event of utmost importance in the landscape so arid and so repetitive of our contemporary poetry.

Prune City: GROWING UP IN PRUNE CITY, DALLAS, OREGON (1917 – 1936)

Marianna Peters, the daughter of German-speaking parents, takes us back to quieter times when a family’s life and industry was centered in the family farm. As you read Growing Up in Prune City, you will walk through that delightful time at the turn of the century when the “stuff” of life for many families consisted of hard work, making clothes, cooking, baking, and canning, along with social breaks for church and school. In 1917, the Peters and other farmers planted many acres of prune trees around Dallas, Oregon. The town became known as “Prune City.” Prunes were shipped from Dallas throughout the United States, to other countries, and to troops deployed in Europe.

You will enjoy getting to know Marianna, the youngest of four siblings, as she goes to the small country church where she learned, and then embraced, her family’s religious values and practices. You will sit beside her in a country school as she learns. You’ll smile with her at cherry and prune-picking antics and activities. You will watch her play with other young friends as they wait for the daily mail delivery. You’ll hear her gasp, a few years later, when her name is called as valedictorian for Dallas High School’s graduating class of 1934. Then after a few years in college, your heart will be warmed as you see her falling in love and becoming Mrs. Elvin Quiring.
