Patricia Byrd Barone is the mother of five children. She is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of Meredith College. In B.C., her lifetime before children, she was an elementary school teacher in Goldsboro, N.C., Bellevue, Washington, and Mannheim-Kafertal, Germany.
