  • Powers Trace III

Powers Trace is a fictional town located among the farms on a two-lane road in the lower left corner of Georgia. The five person police force struggles to protect and serve the people of their small town with limited funds and cast-off equipment handed down from the county sheriff’s department. Like police in most small towns, they get the job done working long hours for low pay. This is their story.

    Author Bio

I escaped from a small Kansas farm town, to serve 20 years as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, living a life I dreamed of growing up. After the flying was over, I completed the MBA degree, and spent an unexciting career as a cost accountant in various manufacturing companies. Along the way, small sail boat racing became an obsession and we followed many fleets around courses throughout the Southeast. This led to two terms as the Commodore of the local sailing and yacht club. I now live with my wife in a small town in Georgia.

  • Praise For The Human Heart

This slim volume represents the stories of many lives, exploring what it means to be human. Some are fictionalized real stories and some are real occurrences but with imagined emotional responses, and some really happened but motives and developments are fiction. All writers must start somewhere, and most start with their own life, then branch out into the stories other people tell them. They finally reach the point where the writer can understand how people talk, feel, respond, and remember the events of a lifetime and then they write books.

  • Prayers in Hell

King Midas – the legend says – transformed everything he touched into gold. Theodor Damian transforms everything he touches into poetry.

Sequences from street life, landscapes, people’s gestures, usually looked upon as banalities, disclose, under his eye, their beauty. Other contemporary authors make poetry out of poetry. Theodor Damian makes poetry out of daily reality.

The blase man of the twenty first century has a lot to learn from this book. Reading it one can rediscover the joy of life. It is a resurrection exercise.

    Alex Stefanescu

This is an exceptional book, a synthesis of the poet’s lyric and philosophical vision on how the impossible looses its limits when it is immersed in prayer. In Damian’s poetry the “I” of the lyrical and the “I” of metaphysical reflection complement each other in total harmony and become definitory for the poet’s work when they meet in the profound dimensions of Christian spirituality.

Prayers in Hell represents an editorial event of utmost importance in the landscape so arid and so repetitive of our contemporary poetry.

    M. N. Rusu

  • Prescriptions for Boredom: Take Two a Day

In the wildly colorful custom of storytelling from the Midwest, Prescriptions for Boredom brings to life many fanciful, eccentric, and earthy characters, from great-grandma Celie LeFlambeau wearing army fatigues when she died and being buried as an “Unknown Soldier” by those who knew her best in her small town, to Uncle Pud whose wartime wounds took away his face but left him with uncanny ability to inspire those around him.

Clark conveys a feeling of the oral storytelling tradition, as if the words have been handed down over generations family history right alongside Indian tales that waver at the edge of the unreal at once entertaining and culturally significant.

Of the thirty-six superbly descriptive stories herein, twenty are historically accurate while only sixteen are fiction. But as Clark says, “Truth is stranger than fiction, and it’s hard to differentiate between the two!”

    Author Bio

Ruth Ada Clark was educated at the University of Dubuque, Loras College and the University of Iowa. Mrs. Clark has written numerous short stories, an operetta, songs for motion pictures, as well as a memoir published in 2011 entitled Beauty in Bent Grass. • Preserve, Protect, and Defend the Constitution

I find this difficult if not impossible. If you so desire we can eliminate the biography part, however I understand that most readers require knowledge of the author – believe me I tried to keep it short and to the point (most reports that I received found this a very interesting part of my book. Then of course there are those who disagree with my including the Bill of Rights and the Constitution it is absolutely necessary for these documents to be included in my book the readers can simply pass over them and when needed, they can study them at their leisure (they are there for this reason) this book covers a vast array of modern history, briefly mentioning the Constitution and how it was formed and what it means today. Without this instrument to guide and protect us we will fail to exist. Therefore it is of the utmost importance that we stress to all Americans – the old and the young alike, all ages must be fully aware not just of the first are the second amendment but the entire document as a nation we have grown complacent, take things for granted this has to be reversed we must be fully aware and make damn sure that all of our political bodies regardless of their affiliation live by an rule by the Constitution. The oath of office as sworn too with one’s hand on the Bible, I swear to Preserve, ProTech and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America. This oath is meaningless as it is administered today we must pass a law that particularly the president of the United States varies in any respect from performing that duty the sanctioned in the most severe manner possible.
