About the author:

Guy Nixon (Redcorn) grew up in Gold Rush country and still lives only one mile from James Marshall’s Blacksmith shop in Kelsey, California. The Kelsey one room school house, where Guy’s father Bill attended school, was taught by Margaret Kelley until Bill entered the second grade. Margaret Kelly had taken care of James Marshall in his old age and had done a remarkable job of preserving early California history. Growing up in the community, with the old stories and original sites surrounding him, Guy Nixon (Redcorn) took a keen interest in this history and has spent more than 40 years researching this fascinating era. Guy Nixon (Redcorn) used his college degree while working for the U.S. Forest Service doing the first Abandoned Mine Survey for the El Dorado National Forest as well as the first survey of the old mule train trails that once supplied these mines. His intimate knowledge of the area and its fascinating history were the motivation for him to begin writing.

Powers Trace

Powers Trace is a fictional town located among the farms on a two-lane road in the lower left corner of Georgia. The five person police force struggles to protect and serve the people of their small town with limited funds and cast-off equipment handed down from the county sheriff’s department. Like police in most small towns, they get the job done working long hours for low pay. This is their story.

Author Bio

I escaped from a small Kansas farm town, to serve 20 years as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, living a life I dreamed of growing up. After the flying was over, I completed the MBA degree, and spent an unexciting career as a cost accountant in various manufacturing companies. Along the way, small sail boat racing became an obsession and we followed many fleets around courses throughout the Southeast. This led to two terms as the Commodore of the local sailing and yacht club. I now live with my wife in a small town in Georgia.

BROKEN VESSEL: FROM PRISON TO PURPOSE!

He was wrongfully convicted, his lifelong career destroyed, and he was sent to a prison 2,200 miles from home, for a crime he did not commit. She lay in a hospital, clinging to life, with only a 50/50 chance of survival. But they hung on to their faith in God through it all. This is only the beginning of the dynamic testimony of Dick and Donna Walls.

Having experienced unimaginable pain, broken hearts, financial ruin, and imprisonment, Dick and Donna have been called to Broken Vessel Ministries, a special ministry to the brokenhearted who need healing and a renewed assurance that God does care.

Deprived: “Mary Lou West”

Don was born and raised in North East Texas and is well acquainted with the friendly people, conservative values, towering pine trees and beautiful lakes that make that area an attractive place to live. At the age of 21, he came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and immediately began sharing his faith with others. Surprisingly, he began hungering to know and understand the Word of God. Little did he know that the hunger he felt would only increase as the years transpired. At the invitation of another new Christian, he left his home in Longview and moved to Dallas where he joined a church and was taught by other, more mature Christians. As good as it was, life did not remain the same. It was not long until he was moving again-this time to study the Bible so that he could one day be in full-time ministry. God also gave Don a wonderful, ministry-minded wife along with two children. The years at Bible school flew by, and Don was called to be the pastor of a small church in the town where he was born some 26 years before. Those were great years, and God raised up a loving church that was successful in reaching many young families for Christ. Moving, however, was not over for Don. He felt an uninvited call on his life to start a new church in Houston, Texas. Don submitted to that call of God and rented a house with no church members, no building and very little money. He believed God would somehow take care of his family as he did God’s work. He was right. God did indeed raise up a church that Don still pastors to this day. The years have passed, and Don and his wife now have 10 grandchildren and another one on the way. There is one overarching lesson Don has learned through the journey of life. God is faithful.

The Lost Art

Born in New Orleans and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Sydney Justin comes from a very talented and athletic family. Sports and music play a major role in his life. Participating in high school talent shows, the performing arts and attending the Otis Art Institute for gifted young artists molded his musical talents. Football and music are his passions. Although Sydney never played high school football, his natural athletic gifts brought him a football scholarship to Long Beach State University. He was blessed to sign with the Los Angeles Rams and in his rookie year played in Super Bowl XIV. Afterwards, Sydney went on to sign in The C.F.L with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, next The Buffalo Bills, and finally the Indianapolis Colts. Unfortunately, a neck injury ended his career after only 5 seasons. His dreams and aspirations of becoming a singer, songwriter, producer and Author were in his future.

While in high school, Sydney’s musical talents led to his performing on a movie sound track, singing the songs “Shout” and “Shama Lama Ding Dong” that the characters “Otis Day and the Nights” lip-synced in the toga party and night club scenes of the now famous classic cult movie “Animal House”.

After football, Sydney re-directed his musical talents to songwriting, singing and producing. Highlights include being part of the songwriting team Sylverspoon productions working with such artists as Glen Jones, Shalamar, The Whispers and Lakeside; Later Sydney joined the pop group Shalamar as their lead singer. Working with record producers L.A. Reid & Babyface on the song such as “Loves Grown Deep” from Shalamar’s Circumstantial Evidence CD, this song became Asia’s number 1 hit for over 5 months straight. Many Songwriting and producing opportunities followed. He wrote songs and produced soundtracks for such movies as Lambada and sang on Bobby Brown’s hits “Every Little Step I Take” and “I wanna Rock wit Cha baby” achieving a Platinum record. Sydney also performed in concert with other artists such as The Gap Band, Roger & Zapp, Alexander O’Neil, Rose Royce, and Earth, Wind and Fire and many, many others.

Today as the lead singer for Motown’s legendary group The Miracles, Berry Gordy has passed the torch from Smokey Robinson to Sydney Justin. He takes the sound and songs to new heights with his mesmerizing sexiness, excitement and energy.

He is a consummate performer, always striving to offer the world his absolute best. Sydney Justin, was at one time voted one of America’s sexiest men alive. He enjoys coaching young defensive backs, it is his passion. He recently wrote a how to book on playing the defensive back position called “The Lost Art. This book WILL change the lives of many athletes.

As a Christian, Sydney loves God, trusts God and believes all things are possible through faith in Jesus Christ…and Miracles do happen.

Preserve, Protect, and Defend the Constitution

I find this difficult if not impossible. If you so desire we can eliminate the biography part, however I understand that most readers require knowledge of the author – believe me I tried to keep it short and to the point (most reports that I received found this a very interesting part of my book. Then of course there are those who disagree with my including the Bill of Rights and the Constitution it is absolutely necessary for these documents to be included in my book the readers can simply pass over them and when needed, they can study them at their leisure (they are there for this reason) this book covers a vast array of modern history, briefly mentioning the Constitution and how it was formed and what it means today. Without this instrument to guide and protect us we will fail to exist. Therefore it is of the utmost importance that we stress to all Americans – the old and the young alike, all ages must be fully aware not just of the first are the second amendment but the entire document as a nation we have grown complacent, take things for granted this has to be reversed we must be fully aware and make damn sure that all of our political bodies regardless of their affiliation live by an rule by the Constitution. The oath of office as sworn too with one’s hand on the Bible, I swear to Preserve, ProTech and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America. This oath is meaningless as it is administered today we must pass a law that particularly the president of the United States varies in any respect from performing that duty the sanctioned in the most severe manner possible.

When Harry Met Lila: Letters of love… Lessons for Life

“He was a poor farmer living a simple country life marked with toil and missing the luxuries of his time. She was a young, devout Christian woman living life to its fullest in a nearby town.
Eight miles separated them but could not keep them apart. What transpired was a relationship via the post; letters of frustration, celebration, sorrow, and comfort; reflections on life, death, friendship, and love. Living and breathing through each correspondence is the very spirit of a Holy
God whose presence and purpose would define a family for generations. They may have been simple people living an ordinary life, but their faith-filled examples left a legacy of love that will last forever.”
