Synopsis

Gilbert and Jade seek shelter in an ancient ruined abbey after a nice pleasant bike ride takes an incredible turn. The freak storm that comes from nowhere is the least of their worries as the wailing green ghost emerges… Gilbert thinks he's tougher than Jade and knows that ghosts don't exist. But who do you think is the scaredy cat when the hooded figure stands before them?

They soon find out that the ghostly monk who wanders around the old stone building is not as terrifying as he first appears, and gives them a wonderful gift. Gilbert loves gold and shiny things but learns that bravery and kindness have a much higher value.

About the Author

Richard Ward was born in a small Yorkshire town where he spent his first 40 years. Finding inspiration from rides out in the country, he wrote far-flung stories and painted pictures. He bought a house in Bulgaria, grew fruit and vegetables in the garden, and thrived in a gorgeous landscape and on the warmth and friendliness of the local people. He now lives in Colorado where the mountains still fill him with awe, and the almost constant sunshine continues to lift his spirit.
