  • Razor Bumps and Stretch Marks: An Anthology

Razor Bumps and Stretch Marks is a rite of passage. It reflects the hazards and romance of growing up.

It also represents my journey over the past two decades or so, with a healthy dose of what I’ve heard and observed from those around me, fellow travelers who didn’t always know I was watching.

I resisted the impulse to arrange the poems thematically, or in chronological order, a nod to life’s often non-linear character. Instead, they are arranged alphabetically. That way, whenever you’d like to return to one favorite or the other, you’ll know where to find it.

Look forward to hearing which verse helped make your load a little lighter.

  • Reflections of Nebulous Eternal: Sporadic Thoughts of a Splintered Soul Vol. 1

The Reflections of Nebulous Eternal is a selection of poems written by a soul that left the spirit realm and entered Earth to gain a deeper insight to itself and as it evolves and awakens, the spirit tries to relay the information to the rest of humanity. This is a daunting task and many awakened souls band together to push the world into a brighter future. The reason Earth is called Nebulous Eternal is because a Nebulous is a fog/haze and this world is exactly that …. a haze and it last for eternity because too many humans would rather use their knowledge, skill, power, and wealth to feed their greed and massage their egos. Those that are awake aim to counter this behavior; if not for today then for tomorrow’s generation. So, these are the sporadic thoughts of a splintered soul dwelling in Nebulous Eternal on a mission to gather with like minded spirits to educate the children and spread LOVE and Compassion to the world.

  • Take Flight: The Sonnets

    The Sonnets

The Sonnets are one of the best known, and often most beautiful, forms of poetry. Of course, Shakespeare made them famous. His works are among the best of all time. In fact, his name has become synonymous with the name “Sonnet.”

The basic Sonnet is composed of 14 lines usually written in iambic pentameter, and frequently upon the theme of love or romance. But that is not always the case. What is best about a Sonnet is, that it is a structured type of poem, but that structure can be stretched in many different ways. It can be, and has been, argued that changing one or more of the elements does not change the essence of a Sonnet. If you can retain some or most of the elements, it is still a Sonnet. That is the premise of this book.

Within it, the author presents 73 different configurations/formats of the Sonnet Form, and he has personally written 170 examples. Each poem is a blended composition of verse, background, colors, and image. All the poems and all the photographs in this book are the author’s work.

    About the author:

The author was born on 9/11/1948 and raised in Minnesota. He resides with his wife of 38 years in its Capital of St. Paul, Minnesota. So, the pictures and tone carry a Midwestern sensibility and leaning. He has been writing poetry since he was a freshman in high school, when he had to write one as a class assignment. He has been a top ranked poet on the FanStory site since 2011. In 2015, he judged the poetry for the VOICE of KANSAS, poetry contest. He worked over 40 years as a purchasing manager for a large defense contractor, but is now retired. He also lived in Colorado Springs from 1985 until 1991, and in St. James, LI, New York from 1991 until 1996.

  • Tears on Paper

Tears on Paper has been both a curse and blessing to write and it has taken many years. The curse comes from truly diving into the reality of foreign pain and the ensuing inability to avoid it. The blessing is the fact that it presents a unique opportunity to lend my voice to those who feel voiceless.

Tears on Paper has many meanings like literal tears on a piece of paper. It is also the words that remain unspoken or perhaps destiny’s creation. It is the eye in the sky perspective or a track of tears to follow. It is a stark realization that pain today can be joy tomorrow. It is dreams and pain taking flight and a reminder to trust your struggle.

Tears on Paper is the feeling of being free at last or awake for the first time. It is the reality that hurts my soul although in time there is change in hearts. It’s a plea that love needs you perhaps more than you need love. Never more are you a victim because you are the creator of your truth. There is no shame in starting over, everything change IS begins with you. When paper tears and you are granted the opportunity to start again, “nueva vida” is your reward and you have the most precious gift of all…. a new life to begin.
