The Day the Horses Went to the Fair: Animal Lover and Painter: Rosa Bonheur

An author always looks for an angle when writing fiction which Beaupré has done with this novel. He came up with revenants or ghosts for all of his characters as a way of weaving the story together without making it a documentary of Rosa Bonheur’s life and paintings of animals. The author has conjured the likes of a Mozart, a Cervantes and Sir Walter Scott while including other creative artists that influenced Rosa Bonheur. He has also incorporated the descriptions of the Bonheur paintings by herself, the artist, and by her close friend, Anna Klumpke. He has created what he calls a singular novel in that it is not all fiction but an amalgamation of biography, art history and some fiction to make it a creatively cohesive work. The author even intrudes into his work to give it a personal and lively touch.

Norman Beaupré, Ph.D. was born in Maine and pursued his graduate education at Brown University. He taught over thirty years at the University of New England in Maine where he is presently Professor Emeritus. He has traveled extensively and spent two sabbaticals in Paris. He has written and published twenty-one books in English and in French. In 2008, he was awarded the medal of “Ordre des Arts et Lettres” by the French Ministry of Culture and Communications in Paris for his outstanding contribution to French culture.

The Gates of Death: Nostradamus Decoded

In this Book, The Gates of Death: Nostradamus Decoded is many encouraging past, present and future events to be examined. In addition, the book examines all types of events like the Apollo Moon landings. I greatly advise anybody to examine the Moon landing photos anywhere, but the easiest access is on the Internet under “Moon landing hoax.” After viewing these photos, you will come to the same conclusion that I did. The Moon landings just did not happen! However, I hope this book did more than just teach people about the Moon landings. Best regards to all my current and future readers!

    Author Bio

To all my readers, the author of this book is Allen Jay Luedtke. Allen lives on the shores of Lake Michigan in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. In addition, Allen has a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Geography from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh (Dec. 1999). Allen is also an avid exercise enthusiast with exercises including bodybuilding, walking and playing golf.
The purpose of this book is to enlighten people on the new economy that is to come. That is consumer spending. Plus, consumer spending simply drives the economy and the middle class are the majority population doing the consumer spending. This is why more money needs to flow in the hands of the middle class through tax breaks, government programs, etc. Also, this will create increased consumer spending revenue for all including the government. Moreover, increased consumer spending through the middle class with a balanced budget will lead to a very prosperous economy.
The other purpose of this book is to enlighten people on changes that need to be made about investing. Tithing (giving to the poor or the church) is the true way to invest money because it has a guaranteed rate of return. God will repay you for your tithe. Therefore, tithing simply is the way to invest!
Finally, Allen will locate certain treasures to be found. For instance, the Knights Templar Treasure (located in France) along with Ark of the Covenant (located in Lebanon). But, most importantly, Allen will locate the undiscovered oil well in Israel. This will lead to Israel’s own oil production. Furthermore, Israel mostly relies on foreign oil, however, this will change.

  • The Gateway

    The Gateway

The Gateway tells the story of a beautiful but mysterious house in the mountains. It is infested with demons, which got in when the original owner committed suicide by diving from the stair landing and smashing in his head on the floor, thus opening a gateway to a nether region of evil. The Hawthorne family, who buy the house from the estate, have to learn to live with the demons without breaking any of their rules, for fear of death or worse.

Nell, the youngest child, learns at an early age about the actual gateway. However, the little statue of Pan in her mother’s garden, who may or may not be in league with the demons, seems to protect her from their worse depredations. Nell grows up and marries Rick, an engineer with an oil company. They move into the Barn, an old carriage house down the hill from the Gateway. Eventually, over Rick’s horrified objections, they have to move into the Gateway. Because of difficult circumstances after Rick’s death, Nell finds she has to sell the house that she loves so much. The demons wreak their rage and retribution on the hateful man who buys it.

  • The Green Vial

    The Green Vial

The Green Vial, the crackling new techno-thriller from Nicholas Orsini, is about a dedicated and highly professional government scientist who gets drawn into a terrorist plot. It all starts with a deadly earthquake in the Iranian desert. Dr. Roger Rogers, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey, and his attractive graduate assistant, Teresa Marchetti, team up to lead an on-site investigation to gather scientific data from the region for their research studies. In Iran, the two meet their Iranian counterparts and Bjorn Arnarson, a Norwegian science attaché. All goes well until they are forced to make an emergency landing in a restricted biological-weapons development area and are taken into custody. While in confinement, a disillusioned member of an underground faction tells Rogers about the plot and attempt to extort millions of dollars from the U.S. government under threat of dumping anthrax bacterium into the water supplies of several major cities. With literally millions of lives at stake, Dr. Rogers finds himself confronting unimaginable challenges. What follows a dramatic escape via the Afghani border, a detour to Norway (where additional threads in the case are unraveled), and, ultimately, the involvement of the Defense Intelligence Agency and the U.S. President himself reveals Orsini as a master of suspense a worthy and welcome heir to the tradition that includes Patricia Highsmith, Graham Greene, and John le Carre.
