Hope Town: Reality of a Dream
Hope Town is a beautiful island community filled with history and hospitable people.
It is the warmth and sincerity of the Islanders that make this “Paradise” a very special place.
Hope Town, originally called Great Harbour settled in 1785, is on the Island of Elbow Cay, and is located in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas.
Hope Town wraps in a crescent shape around the Harbour with the Elbow Reef Lighthouse (Built in 1863) as the focal point to the setting sun. Sailing vessels at mooring in the calm Harbour, the sound of the surf breaking on the white sandy beaches and the quant Older “Loyalist Style” Houses of Hope Town make it a quiet, pleasant and memorable place to live or visit.
